In part one of this two-part chat with Paul, we cover his days as an undergraduate at a non-target

school in the Midwest. We find out how he managed to break into an investment banking internship

at Morgan Stanley and why he pivoted to

consulting after a health scare. We learned how he was able to successfully recruit at both a top

investment bank and a top consulting firm in back-to-back years. In this part one, we step back to

really evaluate his internships and recruiting out of undergrad to find out what really opened the

most doors for him.

So it would be awesome if you could give the listeners a short summary of your bio.

Sure.

So I went to Wheaton College for undergrad.

I played soccer there.

After that, I did three years at McKenzie.

I guess I should say I didn't invest in banking internship during undergrad,

decided to do three years in consulting after school, and then from there spent three more years at Inside Equity,

a middle market, private equity fund, and I'm now at Wharton doing my MBA.
