You watch anxiously as the man heads off into the trees, then turn and head toward the

hut.

Your approach a low fence that runs all the way around it, made from oddly misshapen

planks of wood that look weirdly like bones.

Only now do you see how old and dilapidated the cabinets, how its pointy lopsided roof

seems like it might slip off at any moment.

Two large clumps of scaly roots that look strangely like two giant chickens' feet seemed

to crawl out from underneath it as if the house itself were a living thing that had grown

out of the earth.

You push on through the gate and head up to the front door.

Hello, is anyone there?

Pressing your ear to the door.

For a moment you think you hear someone shuffling about inside.

You try again.

Hello, but still the door remains shut.

Annoyed you look about for any sign of the man from before, but see nothing.

With no other choice you head back out to the fence and take a seat by the gate.

After what seems like hours, still there is no sign of him, and now it is starting to

get dark.
