Now, quite often I have explained to you and told you that there are many areas of law that are gray areas.

That means that there really aren't any laws that apply.

For example, my all, the years that I practice law, I was involved in surrogate parenting,

third party reproduction.

So when I started, I wrote my first surrogacy contract in 1980 when nobody was doing it.

I was literally one of two people in the country

that was involved in this. The law was it was totally gray. No one had any idea. Paying a woman,

for example, to carry someone's child and then giving up that child to a couple where the father

is connected to the baby genetically, the mother,

the father's wife, the mother-to-be is not connected, the surrogate getting paid, turning the child

over. I mean, there were laws, I mean, were we breaking laws, payment for custody laws,

even slavery laws, you can't sell kids. And so it was a gray area.

I mean, no one had any idea of what was going on. And it took years to unravel that.
