Hi guys, welcome back to Skincare Anarchy. This is our second episode in the three-part series

0:19.2

with world-renowned skin experts, skin health experts, Dr. Brown. I am so excited because

0:26.0

today we are here with Dr. Brown as usual but we are also accompanied by his colleague Adela

0:34.3

Crown. So welcome back Dr. Brown and welcome Adela to the show. I'm so excited that we're doing the

0:40.7

second part of the series. Thank you. Thank you. I'm wonderful to be here. Yeah, I know it's lovely

0:48.6

to host you both and I have I'm so excited about this episode because it is a little bit more focused

0:54.9

on, you know, just really the whole idea of aging and just a lot more specific questions. So I

1:02.6

want to start off by asking both of you. I mean Dr. Brown, I'd love for you to address this first

1:08.7

which is what are the hallmarks of aging and how does it really first start to show on our skin?

1:15.5

Well, you know, aging obviously is multi-factorial but there's more to it than just simple lines,

1:21.3

wrinkles and sags that we can all sort of point to and know what they are. Volume loss is an

1:27.4

important part and actually a lot of people by the time they're in their late 20s some of their

1:32.7

first signs of aging or maybe fine lines around their eyelids because it's thin skin and

1:38.4

it's animated a lot but also you get enough volume loss there that you actually see the demarcation

1:44.2

between the lower lid and the cheek and the trough where the orbital rim is. So it's a more

1:50.0

esoteric form of aging meaning volume loss but certainly it's something that we as plastic surgeons

1:55.6

are very attuned to. That's very interesting. Yeah, I know I I always wonder because I know that

2:03.5

with men a lot of times you know they'll complain about like crow's feet or you know what not but

2:09.0

a deal I would also love for you to kind of give us your feedback as well of what you've seen as

2:14.6

the first signs of aging. Well I agree of course volume loss is a major contributor but then I also

2:22.8

find that often as a practitioner I find there's a lack of understanding in choosing the correct

2:28.8

skin care from a very young age or prescribing the right kind of regime or skin care for yourself
