So what would you say to somebody who's starting a dog training business?

I know that you said that you're non-traditional, you don't, you're not super professional.

And I'm not either really.

I mean, I just, you know, try to give people the information they need and cut out the fluff. What would you say to somebody? Let's say somebody's like, hey, I want to start a dog training business. What would you say to them? What advice? What things have you learned over the years? So I actually do a little mentoring, not much, just from those things I've made mistakes over the years with. And I do a couple of dog training seminars and courses for

people I want to become dog trainers not super certified just under me and my crazy

method or approach the biggest thing I tell people is kind of the old school

Bruce Lee quote take what works disregard what doesn't and add your own

flare to it I like right I think that's important because when you mimic, you kind of lose, we were just talking

about my shorts, right?

Isn't it interesting that an instructor will teach 30 students the same way, the same amount

of time, and there'll be 30 different styles?

Yeah.

So jab cross hook. And you'll have some people here. You have some people here. You have some people really tight and rigid. You'll have some people nice and loose. And the information was exactly the same. Mm-hmm. Right? This is where kind of like communications and the catch not to throw. And that's a quote off my buddy, Joseph Garcia, Master Chim. Yeah. And he taught me that.

He's like, dude, it doesn't, Master Chim. Yeah, cool. And he taught me that.

He's like, dude, it doesn't matter how fast you throw a fastball. If the person can't catch it, it's irrelevant. And that's kind of like information. I always use my daughters as an example. If I throw a 92 mile an hour fastball at my five-year-old daughter, it doesn't matter that I could throw 92 mile an hour fast but my daughter

can't catch it. I have to granny toss it to her. And I'm not going to have her catch it. I'm going to place it in her hands. So she could feel successful. Yay, I did it, Dad. And we could have that platform to work off of. I feel the same way of dog training, whether you a client, whether you're an owner, or whether you're someone that wants to become a professional. Give the information that's gonna make sense. I don't, me not being professional is double-edged sword, because I don't care about the theories and the methods and, you know, operative conditioning, classical conditioning, Skinner and Pavlov, who gives a shit?

It's all associations, right?

You create a positive association or a negative association.

And you work from there.
