Summary

Tonight was extremely special for the Lone Duck crew because we not only got to hang out with our patreon friends and talk dogs and hunting but then we jumped on a very special call to meet a new friend. Tonight, we (at least from our side) became best friends with the creator of Duck Camp Dinners on the MeatEater youtube channel and wildly talented chef and Bronco man, Jean-Paul. We had one of the best conversations with him and heard about his show and what he's excited to share in their second season (which airs 08/12/2022). What we enjoy about his show is how relatable and authentic it is to the deer camp, ice fishing and duck camps I've been to. It's impressive how they nail it but also so simple because that's really how it is when you hang at a duck camp with your buddies... they just turned their good times into a show we all love and appreciate. I hope you listen and enjoy our episode with Jean-Paul. He's extremely passionate, driven and thoughtful and hey, the guy can shoot ducks and cook 'em like a champ... isn't that just the ideal buddy to sit around and BS with? Well, that's what we did. We got to hear about his time growing up hunting, his first dog, his time learning to cook, what makes cajun food, how much bob enjoys boudin, his life in NYC and a ton more. Yes, it helps me find spots with e-scouting, but basically it helps me stay unlost so that I can be here on podcast night. Get in the hunt on X.
