My take on it is, it's hard for me to like care a lot when I know the players don't care a lot.

So it would be a better sales job if they actually didn't jersey swap on the field after a game?

I mean, I get mutual respect, but I at least want to think that you like hate the hate the other team for a little bit. Like, the great part of, like, the rivalries of the 90s, the Cowboys 49ers. I mean, there was no love loss there. That part of it was cool. Like, it's always been a game. It's always been a lie. Although, you know, I'll bet Randy White did hate... But there used to be some emotion there.

And I think that's what we're losing with college football, too.

I think it's just the natural evolution of society because we've all interviewed

Roger and Charlie Waters and Randy White through the years and to a man
