A little boy goes missing.

A massive search ensues.

Today, the bombshell discovery that will forever change the course of this investigation.

I'm talking about a little boy named Dylan.

It was Thanksgiving 2012.

13-year-old budding athlete Dylan Redwine was visiting his dad, Mark,

at his house in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado.

It was a court-ordered visit. Dylan's mom and dad went through a contentious divorce.

Mark says his son was sleeping when he went off to run some errands and when he returned, Dylan was gone. Hundreds of volunteers searched for

the little boy, but Dylan was never found. My focus right now is focusing on Dylan and what he

needs from us to help find him.

Mark Redwine spoke with me at a video store in Bayfield, which is now turned into the hub

for search volunteers. Flyers of Dylan are here for residents to pick up and pass out.

Redwine says he hasn't been able to sleep since his son vanished from his home 12 days ago.

It's been a tough time for all of us. I know. I know that it's been difficult on me,

and I can only imagine how difficult it's been for his mom and his brother and his family.

This community is shell-shocked.

I mean, they are heart-sick.

Store owner, Denise Hess, is a close friend of Dylan's mother, Elaine.

She says in the beginning of the search, social media helped efforts gain momentum.
