after speculation had begun that he might not be on the opening day roster.

I understand that he has not looked good. And believe me, he has not looked good. He has

swung at some pitches that are way out of the zone. The contact he's making is weak.

I've already seen him just in the few days. I've been back down here. He hit several little

tappers back to the mound, weak ground ball. So it's not like he's hitting line drives right at people.
