You are called now to live out of this position and to become in your practice what you are in your position and you are in your position

dead to sin and now the Bible calls you to put death into practice and it does that by saying some paradoxical things about you

namely die and you should not come back to the Bible when it says die and say I am

dead you should come to say because I am dead. You should come to say because I am dead, therefore I most certainly will die.

How does our position in Christ relate to our daily practice as Christians.

We'll read verses 20 through 26 of John chapter 12.

Now there were certain Greeks,

which is an odd thing, by the way,

that Greeks would be here in Palestine wanting to see Jesus.

Just keep that in mind, they are foreigners, they're like, away from home.

Now there were certain Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast.

These therefore came to Philip, who was from Bethseda of Galilei, and began to ask him saying, sir, we wish to see Jesus.

Philip came and told Andrew and Philip came and they told Jesus and Jesus answered them saying,

not the kind of answer you might expect, but here's what he said.

Verse 23, the hour has come for the son of man to be glorified.

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies,

it remains by itself alone.

But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
