Summary

It was Disney week as the pairs went “Into The Unknown” dressed in their best Disney inspired costumes dancing to their favorite Disney songs.
Once again Cheryl breaks down her thoughts on each of the dances while not completely agreeing with everything the judges have to say. The announcement of the return of some of DWTS OG pros coming to perform a special tribute to Len Goodman is also something that Cheryl gets vulnerable about in this weeks episode. It’s a mid week recap you don’t want to miss!

This is Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans with me, Cheryl Burke, and IHeart Radio podcast.

0:07.5

So it is week four, Disney 100 Night, or however they're saying it. And I have to say that

0:14.7

the opening number was really cool. I was waiting for a little bit of entrance. Like I love,

0:20.1

obviously, I don't know if they're

0:21.1

sponsored by this car company, but it was really cool in the beginning. There was a weird, like,

0:25.8

pause. It, like, it went, it went, and then there was like a pause, and then it continued. But,

0:32.4

and then also there were some new dancers. And I love the flamenco dancer. I love seeing new faces. But I think, you know,

0:38.0

you could, you could have used our dancers, to be honest. But I don't know who choreographed it.

0:42.5

They did an amazing job. I always love it when Alfonso and Julianne, obviously, do their thing,

0:47.5

especially, you know, Julianne. I don't know. I love the cha-cha medley to this song. I don't know. I love the Chacha medley to this song. I don't know if it's a new Disney movie. All in all, I thought it was great. But I feel like for a big night like this, I thought they were going to do like the Beauty and the Beast scene or something with that table that I think I've used before in the past. But overall, great performance. It just seemed a little too basic for the potential of these pros, to be quite honest.

1:14.7

Couple number one, Mauricio and Emma, you know, it's always really hard to do a posidobli that's very intense and full of passion and drama when you have to do it to a Disney song.

1:25.9

If you can hear, the music isn't necessarily,

1:29.0

it doesn't call for the dramatics that you need.

1:32.4

I wasn't convinced, actually.

1:35.5

I thought that this performance was underwhelming.

1:37.8

I feel like instead of, you know, just a chin up,

1:40.9

he needed to really spread his chest open

1:43.3

and really widen his back. I think

1:46.3

he fell short with that. I felt like, you know, his lateral muscles were too squeezed together instead

1:51.9

of thinking of dancing his back more. Again, I don't know what the judges are going to say. I just

1:56.9

paused it now and I'm just looking at the dance itself. Honestly, it could have been more

2:01.0

aggressive, you know, it could have been more Matador, it could have had more of that, you know,

...
