Hey, wonderful's welcome to episode 376 of the podcast with my first

official boy of summer, the wonderful comedian Duane Kennedy, he is, oh gosh, he's been around enough and long enough to be a huge

influence on some comedians, even if you're not as familiar with Duane, he is so beloved, you know, I hate the

words comedians comedian. I'm not sure why I hate them so much but I think

just because maybe they get overused.

But this is truly the case with Dwayne.

I'm such a fan of his, and I was so excited

to sit down and chat with him.

I say First Official Boy of Summer, This is going to be kind of the

first summer for me anyway that I'm loosening up on that stuff a little bit. As

you know or anybody who's kind of listened to the podcast for a few years or for many

episodes now you know that I started the podcast with the intention of having more women's

voices in podcasting because eight years ago the

landscape was very different than it is now and I also wanted to you know have the

opportunity to talk about certain issues and stuff that was maybe centered

a little bit more on you know people who identify as women. That being said I

got excited about representing other folks so things

have widened out over the time and I've had my Boys of Summer Series but I also

kind of just want to be able to talk about other stuff if stuff's pressing if stuff if I have the opportunity to

talk to someone like Colin about things that are happening in the world that I

feel passionate about that I know many of you feel passionate about I want to

have the opportunity to do that.
