Do you know, I met somebody the other day who absolutely follows ramblings on the map.

And I felt really guilty because for the first paragraph in this series, I hadn't given a grid reference.

And I thought, oh no, how will she follow where we are?

So today I'm going to.

We're on Ordnance Survey Explorer Map 308, which is Durham and Sunderland, and it's very easy to find where we're starting from.

Because if you have a look at Durham and the river we're twisting back on itself, there's a great big blue house and it says Crook Hall next to it and the grid reference is 275-432 and the reason we're starting at Crook Hall is because I'm with the owners and because Maggie

and Keith Bell live here run this place open it to the public this is your thing your treasure house

it is it well it's our home I don't house. It is. Well, it's our home. I don't

know how many treasures are here, but it's our home, yeah. How many visitors do you get in a year?
