Did Dumbledore just diss J.K. Rowling the creator of Harry Potter?

I think so. John Lithgow is going to be playing Alvis Dumbledore in the new HBO Harry Potter series,

and he's just come out calling J.K. Rowling transphobic, even though he's taking on the role.

So I think we gotta talk about it.

So as I said, it's going to be playing out on this Dumbledore, a very famous role in the new HBO Harry Potter series that is slated, I believe, to come out soon.

J.K. Rowling is working on this series as an executive producer.

She's apparently heavily involved in everything that's happening behind the scenes and production of this series.

But John Lithgow was recently asked about J.K. Rowling, and of course her transphobia,

as J.K. Rowling has made it abundantly clear that she believes in men and women and women don't become

men. Okay? Not the most transphobic thing in the world I'd say, but we'll get to that in just a moment.

Now on J.K. Rowling, John Lithgow says this. I take the subject extremely seriously. She has

created this amazing canon for young people and it has jumped into the consciousness of the society.

It's about good versus evil, kindness versus cruelty.

I find her views ironic and inexplicable.

Let's go ahead and pause there for a second.

So he juxtaposes these two things.
