There's some college football playoff committee rankings mixed in there, which we'll get to.

Because as I predicted, the Miami Notre Dame conversation began in earnest last night.

But again, we'll get to that in a second.

Let's start with the Blue Devils.

Yeah, I think that's a good idea.

We've kind of hit overreaction mode for both these teams in terms of like what's wrong or what are the red flags, yellow flags, very similar to what we did with NC State after the VCU game.

Duke's issues to me have been known.

A lot of it has to do with the front court.

Also, Kansas, playing a level of defense that they had not necessarily seen yet.

You expect that out of Bill's self.

I know that Peterson wasn't in the lineup.

So that's going to affect how the game goes. But yeah, it was a, as you would say, a grinded

out win for the Blue Devils last night. And under Shire, I've noticed a tendency for them to have

these early season games figuring things out and fighting themselves in some

situations where they have to grind it out. I've not doubted that with a John Shire coach

team since he's been here with the exception of one team and one team only. And that was the 24
