Hi everyone and welcome to the evidence-based birth class all about due dates in advance

So how this class is going to work is I've divided it up into two modules.

First you're going to get a foundation in learning

So in this first module, all about due dates, we're going to talk about how due dates

are calculated and the accuracy of due dates.

Now going past due is a really vague term

that a lot of people use and we're going to talk about what that means and what the proper terms

and risks of induction versus waiting labor to start on its own.

Well, more and more families report that they're being induced for going post-term or post

And there's been a lot of controversy in both the news reports and research about the evidence on due dates and how we should put that

evidence into practice. Also, as new studies are being done and continuing to come out, you need to

be able to understand how to evaluate them and compare them to the older studies and how those older studies were done.
