It feels like it's been such a long time since we've done a recruiting show, considering

the run that they went on coming out of that June 13th weekend, but we are back for

another commitment show.

An elite defensive lineman in Elijah Golden just committed to Notre Dame for the 2026 class.

He is the 27th commit overall in this class.

He's the 11th defensive commit and the fourth defensive line commit.

Brian, this is a big one. Big one that's been on

our radar for quite some time. You think he was not joking when he said that Al

Washington has been recruiting him since his freshman year. He took his first visit in June of

2023. Now, that was when he was going into his sophomore season, but they had been

on him prior to that. And this is back when he was at IMG Academy. He obviously is originally

from Virginia. He transferred to IMG. And then this past year transferred to Cardinal Mooney in

Sarasota, Florida. But this is a guy that Al Washington has been on for a very, very long time.

And when you can get a talented player, you know, Treve, you pointed this out to me before the show.

I mean, all four of their defensive line commits are from the south.

And Elijah is the most northern because he's technically from Virginia, but he's obviously

played high school football in Florida.

But you've gone into the South, you've beaten Alabama, you've beaten Oklahoma, you've

beaten Georgia for other players that are in this class, but with Elijah Golden,
