A Utah judge tossed out a congressional map drawn by the state's Republican legislature.

This is what it's come to. Oh, a new congressional district in Utah.

Ruling, it violated the state constitution by gerrymandering. Instead, Judge Diana and

Gibson adopted a map proposed by a centrist coalition that challenged the Republicans' boundaries

and a lawsuit. This decision is a significant victory for Democrats ahead of the 2026

midterm elections, despite their generally uphill battle in the heavily Republican state.
