After the New York primary last month, we invited the winners of all five of the really competitive races to come on the show,

the races for Congress, for brief interviews after their victories and what comes next. As many of you

know, we had held candidate forums on the show in each of those races. So far, we've had Brad Lander,

Claire Valdez, and Kate Conley, who won their primaries.

We're about to speak with Darya Lisa Avila Chevalger.

Tovalier, we're working with Michael Lashir to schedule a time with him after he won the primary

to succeed Gerald Nadler, so look for that on a future show.

Darya Lisa Avila Chavallier is with us now, along with Bradlander and Claire Valdez.

She was one of the three Democratic socialists endorsed by Mayor Mamdani.

In what was probably the biggest upset, she defeated incumbent Congressman Adriano Espaya,

as many of you know, in upper Manhattan and nearby parts of

the Bronx. In this very blue district, this almost certainly means she is going to Congress

next January. Ms. Chavallier, thanks for coming on again and congratulations on winning your

primary. Thank you. Thank you so much for having me. It's great to talk with you, Brian.

I feel like I've heard it five different ways and five different media outlets, and I want

everybody to get it right.

This happened with Mom Donnie, some people intentionally, I think, and some not.
