Hi guys welcome back to millennial life crisis it's been a minute. I know we haven't

uploaded for I guess I think two weeks now this episode that you guys are going to

listen to today was recorded prior to everything that's been going on online.

We wanted to give space for the Black Lives Matter movement.

We didn't want to post that week to distract from that and we've

been reflecting and learning a lot since then and we'll include some resources

that you guys can check out if you want to learn more. So that's why we delayed posting.

It seemed kind of weird because we just started the podcast,

but it just didn't feel right to post an episode yet.

So we wanted to wait.

And we wanted to take the time ourselves to learn more rather than recording a podcast. We both watch the documentary 13th so good. I definitely recommend you guys check it out.

It's really, really well made and very eye opening to just the

racial injustice in our country that in ways that I didn't even know with the

prison system and everything so I would definitely recommend watching that one if you have a

Netflix subscription. You know obviously watching one documentary isn't enough and there's so

much work to be done I think that we've all realized that but just want to acknowledge that and that's why we didn't

post for a week we have been doing our own work ourselves learning and everything offline

I know it seems like just talking about it bringing awareness doesn't do a lot but I think it does do a little I think it does help for people to kind of shift their mindset and actually be aware and with that it inspires people to take action. One thing we can all do though is be sure to

register to vote. If you're not registered to vote you know turn off this podcast right now and go do that.

Actually okay you could probably keep the podcast on while you do it. But, um, but really, that's one thing that can bring about change is actually voting. And I don't just mean for the president, I mean at the local level too because that I think you know I'm no expert on this stuff but I'm pretty sure that's where our votes hold a little more weights but yeah just friendly reminder to make sure to register to vote if you want to help bring

about change with everything going on. I think that's really a way that we all can do that. So getting into today's episode we have Sarah
