And today's story is entitled Drone's to Plow Shares and it's by the author Sarah Galey.

Sarah is a Hugo award winner and a writer of both fiction and nonfiction.

Their debut novel Magic for Liars is a murder mystery and an LA Times best seller.

And their most recent novel The Echo Wife is a thriller about a geneticist whose husband

has an affair with her clone.

Oh, complicated.

The story we're going to read today was first published in Vice and Appears in the years

Best Science Fiction Volume 2 edited by Jonathan Strahon.

It's about a government surveillance drone that is caught by the community it was sent

to observe and how that community reacts to its intrusion.

This story gave me a little bit of hope and I hope it brings some to you too.
