Finally, we saw a turning point in the high-deaf DVD war between Sony's Blu-ray and Toshiba's

HD DVD. Toshiba got cold-ray and Toshiba's HD DVD.

last week.

Hollywood's largest studio announced that it will only release their movies on Sony's

rival format, Blu-ray.

It could be a knockout punch.

Other studios, like Paramount in the HD DVD camp,

will probably now defect to Blu-ray as well, dooming the HD DVD format once and forever.

Of course, none of this may matter in a year's time anyway, because at the very same consumer

electronics show, Netflix announced that it was partnering

with LG Electronics to develop a magical box, one that will stream movies from the Internet to
