| 0:00.0 | This episode of Klein Alley Show is brought to you by the only place with good airport news these days, San Bernardino International Airport. |
| 0:07.2 | That's right. |
| 0:07.9 | Grab your skis and fly to Provo from San Bernardino this winter for your skiing, snowboarding, or just good all-fashioned snowball fights. |
| 0:15.0 | Avoid long lines and delays that will litter other airports this winter. |
| 0:19.6 | And as always, the parking in San Bernardino International Airport is only five bucks. That's right. Five dollars. Go to San Francisco, Provo, Utah. Make your winter dreams come true at San Bernardino International Airport. We were talking a lot this week about rain pussies. Those are people that have a hard time driving when it's raining, and they will pull over and put the hazards on. Yes, there was a lot of torrential downpour this week and I drove through it for pretty much six hours nonstop and I was forced to drive back from Arizona. And that sucks and it's not fun, but I just drove right through. And even though my wife was yelling, pull over, pull over, that's not going to do anything for us. Pull over means nothing. We got to just, you got to drive. However means sit there and waste time. Right. Drive through it, you can do it. That's kind of our motto. |
| 0:57.2 | But the new research out. That's not going to do anything for us. Pull over means nothing. We got to just, you got to drive over means sit there and waste time. |
| 0:55.0 | Right. |
| 0:55.2 | Drive through it, you can do it. |
| 0:56.3 | That's kind of our motto. |
| 0:57.2 | But the new research out today that shows the things that freak drivers out the most. And I was actually surprised to learn how many people are afraid of driving when it's dark outside. Like they will not go out. They're like gremlins. When it gets dark, they just won't drive. |
| 1:09.0 | And it's not old people. |
| 1:10.2 | There's young people. |
| 1:11.1 | It's all ages. |
| 1:11.8 | They go, I can't drive. |
| 1:13.1 | Why? |
| 1:13.4 | It's dark. |
| 1:13.9 | Well, your car's got lights on it, so to use them. But I think people, you know, I will say, I'm not afraid of driving at night, but I think car headlights have gotten outrageously bright. There are some cars have these like blinding headlights, even when they're not. The are on then the brights are not i mean we drive at night every morning when we drive sure and there's been times when i'm convinced the guy's got his brights on because they are blind and then it's just the new car headlights i'll flash my brights at him to be like yo chill with the brights and then the guy will flash this brights back at me and i'm like whoa those weren't even you'res they get brighter yeah it's yeah it's kind of it's gotten to the point now where i think the light bulb technology has gotten to a place it's probably better you can see better but also it does become blinding and that is one of the reasons why of the one in 10 people claim that they are scared of driving in the dark that is one of the things that freaks people out the most. Now, I know there's other things that people will not do. Like they say, I can't drive. I don't like to go on the freeway at all. Like my mom, I grew up with a mom that was terrified, would have a full-blown panic attack. Always? Always, always, always. |
| 2:17.7 | And would try to find... |
| 2:18.1 | When was the last time she went on the freeway then? I think she did like hypnosis to try to get over it. But like she was... I remember being a kid and anytime we had to go somewhere, if it was like involved... Would take like seven hours? A freeway, she'd have to like pull over and hyperventilate for a while. and then would do it, or she would just try to find other ways. |
| 2:34.2 | Something that could take six minutes to get to would take 60 minutes. |
| 2:37.4 | Damn, just because she can it was the getting on she was never afraid of being on the freeway but it was the getting on to it freaked her the f out well and if she comes in visits here oh well she's not driving here at all but i mean this was like years ago i this is when she was like a, yeah, I was probably 10 or whatever. So she was way younger. She just never learned that part or freaked out. My, my dad on the other hand, terrified of heights. So bridges couldn't drive over bridges. Oh, might see. My uncle has a fear of driving over bridges. and he lives in the Bay Area where there are a million bridges. It's all bridges. So he just, and I think he is also taking some kind of class to get over his fear and like partly driving over or like I, my mom took him over a bridge while she was driving and he was in the passenger seat. There's close size. Yeah. And he got really scared. I don't know why. I think with driving stuff, once you've got it in your brain, it's so hard to get it out, especially if you're operating a vehicle and you feel like you're about to crash or die or do something crazy, then it just, it's not something that can leave you. Most people, I think they just drive. They just go, I'm driving and |
| 3:40.9 | that's it. And then there's the people that have these, I don't know what I say they're rational, |
