a powerful message this afternoon from President Joe Biden, an ally of teachers unions, nonetheless

saying that they need to keep schools open amid the push by some teachers unions to return

to remote learning.

We have no reason to think at this point that Omekron is worse for children than previous

variants.

We know that our kids can be safe when in school, by the way.

That's why I believe schools should remain open.

Those remarks come as pediatric hospitalizations are the highest they've ever been during

the pandemic, especially almost entirely among unvaccinated kids.

Children according to the CDC are the least vaccinated age group in the United States.

Those younger than five, of course, still not eligible for a vaccine.
