Ron Brockington, Senior National Scout for your Miami Dolphins. Thanks for your time today, man. We appreciate it. Thanks for having me. I appreciate it. Yeah, we're excited to talk to you because a long journey across the NFL that brings you here to Miami, 20 years with the Dolphins, three decades across the NFL. We've been starting these off by just talking to you guys about your journey, man, your path here. It's a long road to get to these spots in this league and you've well earned it. I just kind of want to hear you talk a little bit about your journey to the NFL and where you are here today. Yeah, you know, I grew up in New York and once I was done playing ball, I was still competitive.

I wanted to find a different avenue that I still can be involved in. And, you know, the NFL is some

aspect. You know, coaching was really not my thing. So the next avenue was scouting, and it's kind of how I got started.

I started my career at the Jets. Dick Haley was one of my mentors. He really kind of got me

involved in the business and what to look for and worked in a parcel. So just a good group of

higher-ups that kind of showed me and lead me the way of, you know, personnel evaluation.

So that's kind of the path.

And then, you know, realistically, I looked at it, you know, I had a pro day.

The numbers weren't as good.

So it kind of led to like, obviously, more like personnel stuff.

So then the rest of history.

But, you know, you know, that's three decades is, it's pretty

long, you know, just consistency, discipline, just work ethic, and just kind of staying in my lane

has kind of been the best avenue for me to be where I'm at right now, you know.

I mean, I was a running back.

Probably not ideal NFL speed, but highly competitive.
