If you peel back the layers on that, I would say that to acquire a player, to do all the work, you know, sometimes two, three years worth of work, you acquire a player.

You acquire a player, he is, sometimes two, three years worth of work, you acquire a player.

He is what you thought he would be, and then he goes out there on Sundays and he helps you

play a vital role and, you know, he plays a vital role in winning on Sundays.

That's certainly a satisfying, especially when you stood on the table for a player.

Yeah, but at the end of the day, we're all in this thing to win. It's not about me. It's not about the next guy. It's about us coming together, working our tails off, doing the best that we can for this organization, help us win championships. That is a soundbite from New Dolphins GM, John Eric Sullivan, when he was asked on an interview

with the Packers two years ago, his favorite part of the entire job, the concept of putting

together a football team, watching a guy that you pounded the table for in the draft process

or in the acquisition process and watching the entire thing come together.

He also spoke in that interview about his favorite part about the game of football being that it requires all 11 to do their job in every single play. You can have a play well designed. You can have it well blocked. You can have the right running back in the right position, basically. And if you get one job that doesn't fulfill their job, then the whole thing does not work. And he likes that team element of it. He's a team builder, a draft lifeblood type of guy. He's worked in an organization for the Packers that for years and years and years did not really utilize free agency as a way to build their football team, but rather built things through the draft. You'll hear him talk about that and answer here later on from that same interview in the soundbites.
