I think one more supremely talented defensive tackle, like a potential top 100 pick,

could really kind of be the glue piece that solidifies this line and takes it from

from good and promising rather to, oh, damn, that's one of the better groups in the NFL.

And we conclude the defensive positions with a group that I think we were kind of given a bit of a peek behind the curtain from Tuesday's Jeff Halfley media availability that sort of informed some of the thinking of what might happen at this defensive tackle group.

And I want to start with this, that I like where the group is at right now.

I think you're going to see Kenneth Grant really blossom into a real three-down threat this

year for the Miami Dolphins as we saw that trajectory head in that direction as a rookie

and halfway talked about that trajectory coming from minimal playing time or experience,

I should say, at Michigan. And man,

I remember when I scouted Kenny, I was like, oh, that's a top 10 pick right there when I

watched his tape the first time. But the consensus as a prospect was that he was a little bit

green and didn't have a whole bunch of reps at the defensive tackle position. So for him to have

that trajectory where it was a bit of a slog

early on, then he takes off a bit and continues trending in that upward direction. That to me

bodes very well for the future. We've seen players have similar climbs in their career. Like I think

back to Jalen Phillips in 2021, where the first half of the season started out a little bit slow, turned it around for the second half.
