Welcome to the Peter King Podcast where I tell you quite a bit about football and

maybe just a little bit about life and I'm really happy to be able to offer you a unique podcast. I've never really done one like this before.

First of all, my guests this week in two segments are going to be Sean Payton, the coach of the

New Orleans Saints and Drew Breeze, the quarterback of the Saints right now the hottest quarterback

in football, playing at age

39 to try to win his second Super Bowl and his first most valuable player award.

So I want to explain a little bit to you if I can about what this story is that I'm about to tell you.

If you read my column this week, Football Morning in America at NBC Sports.com and pro football talk.com you

would know what I did over the weekend and on Saturday night I spent three hours

inside a hotel, a series of meeting rooms at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on

Canal Street in New Orleans with an incredible number of Eagle revelers and just playing every

day every weekend revelers on a beautiful Saturday late afternoon and evening in the

French quarter and in one of the nicest hotels in New Orleans obviously the Ritz-Carlton

while the reveling was going on the New Orleans Saints were putting their game plan to bed

for their game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon at the

Superdome.

So I wrote about that and I experienced this three hour series of meetings for the first time in my life in 30, this is my 35th year covering the National Football League.

And just to tell you a little bit about fifth year covering the National Football League.

And just to tell you a little bit about me, one of my favorite things to do is to be able

to experience exactly what, as close as I can to what players, coaches, teams experience.

I've embedded inside nine draft rooms in the last 35 years.

I love draft day in a draft room.
