You know, I cannot even tell you what a pleasure this is. I mean, I have really come across your

research and read your work so many times. This is a true honor to have you here with us today.

And before we dive into the fascinating history of high heels, I am hoping you can tell us about

the Bada Shumizum, its origin, and its incredible collection.

Absolutely. So the museum started a long time ago when Mrs. Bada married Mr. Bada,

and he was already the head of very large shoe organization. And in 1946, as a young bride,

she really wanted to travel with him, she wanted to be a part of the business,

and the business was already at that point global. And so she began to travel,

go around the world, and she made a very astute observation, which was, although people's feet

are basically the same, no matter where you go around the world, what they have traditionally

put on them is incredibly different. And so there must be cultural, social, environmental
