Just because you can get away from what scares you doesn't mean it won't haunt you for a long, long time.

Like in this story, inspired by Franny. I was exhausted from another night staying up too late on my phone.

My family had just moved and with my aunt and cousin. I was further away from my friends,

so we spent hours on the phone together. I don't know when I fell asleep. I do know I was woken up by what felt like an earthquake.

I quickly realized someone was bouncing on my bed. I was annoyed that my little cousin snuck out of her

room just to disturb me. I was about to shove her off when I realized I couldn't move.
