I would like to speak to you today about a topic that I'm going to title,

Draw Near to God.

If you have your Bible, let's go with me to James chapter 4 and verse 8.

Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. And then James just goes down. I mean, he's like,

cleanse your hands, you sinners, puh, purify your hearts, you double-minded.

I don't know, I feel triggered reading those words, but it's good because that's what the

Lord's going to use to transform us.

I want you to see this, draw near to God.

I'm going to mention to you five shifts that have to happen in your life for you to draw near to God.

Shift number one.

You got to move from drifting to drawing.

From drifting to drawing near to God.

I want you to notice what the Bible does not say. It does not say drift near to God. I want you to notice what the Bible does not say. It does not say drift near to God.

Remember this. Nobody drifts to God. You will always drift from God.

But you will not drift to God. That's why the Bible says draw near.

It involves intention.

It involves discipline. It involves decision.

It involves desire.

You don't automatically draw near to God.
