What's up everybody? Welcome into the next Pat's podcast. I'm Phil Perry. We are attacking some prototypical Patriots receivers on today's episode. Well, we think they might be prototypical Patriots receivers.

Of course, this is a little bit of a complicated process this year,

as we've talked about on the podcast before,

we are trying to figure out what it is exactly.

Elliot Wolf and this new Patriots front office regime will be looking for,

specifically on the offensive side of the ball.

Defensively, when we get to those positions,

I think we're going to see a relatively similar kind of player make his way to New England in terms of the roles that they're trying to fill because I don't think schematically

they're going to change all that much defensively.

But offensively, that's what we need to try to figure out.

And when it comes to the receivers, it seems like it seems like we're looking for

height, weight speed, guys, physical freaks.

That's what the Ron Wolf executive tree has drafted in the first and second rounds in the

past.

Before we get into some of the details on that, I do want to tell you we have the great Steve

Palisolo from Pro Football Focus joining us on today's episode. We're going to be talking about why he likes Drake May more than Jaden Daniels. We're going to be talking about that Kansas City model that we've talked about before on the podcast. Boy, could you acquire a veteran quarterback, the way the chiefs acquired a veteran quarterback in 2013 and Alex Smith.

I don't know, somebody likes a, say, Jacoby Berset?

Could you use a high, high-end pick in the first round on an offensive tackle the way the

chiefs did with Eric Fisher back in 2013 and maybe build through the trenches that way if

your New England and go after somebody like Joe Alt potentially and bide your time and wait for the right quarterback at the right time and invest in him there.

Well, you've got a new head coach who's Andy Reid at the time for the Chiefs.

It's obviously Gerard Mayo at the time now for the Patriot.
