He can't change his mind and that this now has to be written into law.

What's the latest update on all of this?

Yeah.

I mean, what was interesting is that this was a rare moment where some of the Republicans really

pushed back on Trump.

He set up this, you know, a trillion dollar, excuse me, billion dollar slush fund for anyone who he felt had been wronged.

It was taxpayer dollars.

And he was promoting it to people, you know, violent people who had been convicted on January 6 crimes

and saying that they should get money back for the time that they spent in jail or in the legal system.

And that proved to be so unpopular with his own party using taxpayer dollars, especially, that he's now

saying he's backing away from it. But like, we've seen him, you know, back away from a lot of things.

You've got to kind of put a nail in that coffin. So we introduced a bill. Literally, the bill is

one sentence long that just would prevent any taxpayer dollars being used for any such

weaponization fund. And, you know, we all remember when he said the ballroom, like, it won't

cost the taxpayers a dime, nothing to see here. And then he just asked for a billion dollars

to build the ballroom. So there is no like trust but verify.

It's just kill it in its crib before it becomes a real thing.

How do you think about that in the next Congress,

imagining a Democratic majority but a Trump presidency in the two years before the presidential election.

I mean, there's going to need to be coming out of this, one would hope, a legislation season

that's going to equal the New Deal. We will need to see a Congress pass a hundred pieces of legislation to
