But today we are not talking about that, we're talking about dragon fruit.

So today's question is about the stems cracking on a trellis.

Hey Kevin, my name is Yolanda, and my question is in regards to dragon fruit.

My dragon fruit are very large.

I have the same type of trellis that you show on your video that I built.

And the portions that hang over, I have had several that seem to be heavy, and they end

up cracking and they break.

Have you come across this, and what can I do to prevent them from breaking other than maybe

just supporting them somehow by tying them up?

Now as she mentions, I actually have had this problem because of the trellis design.

If you're unfamiliar with the dragon fruit trellis design that I use, we do have a full

YouTube video on it, but I'll describe it really quickly for you here.

It is basically a big pot, at least 20 inch diameter pot, and you have a four by four

post coming up.

And then you build a square at the top where the stems of the dragon fruits can grow upwards

through.
