I personally use them very sparingly.

I assume that most of my audience are adults or under adult supervision,

and listening to detective stories from the Golden Age radio, there are many things that are

quite normal for that era that may not occur in a more modern drama today. I will only

generally provide a disclaimer if the content is

really extraordinary and not something that would typically hear or expect to hear.

Today's episode is noteworthy for being the only episode to come with its own disclaimer

recorded at the time.

And I will definitely second what Jack Webb says here,

as this is quite a hard-hitting episode.
