Summary

The Draft Room is back and catching up on everything that piled up during the brief hiatus — and there's a lot to get to, Pack Nation.

Ryan leads off with Dominique Orange ("Big Citrus"), who held a private workout attended by 10 teams — including your Green Bay Packers — and showed elite lateral movement before pulling up with hamstring tightness at the 35-yard line. Is he a Day 2 lock? And just how serious is the NFC North's trench arms race?

Then it's a full tour of the draft landscape:

  • Defensive Tackle: Peter Woods disappoints at his Pro Day; Xavian Harris goes under the knife and craters to a late-round grade
  • Offensive Tackle: The Fano vs. Maui Noah debate at the top, Caden Proctor emerging as a potential left tackle solution for the Lions, and why the Chiefs may hold the key to the whole board
  • Cornerback: Mansoor Delane drops a 4.38 at LSU's Pro Day, erasing speed concerns — could he go as early as Pick 7?
  • Tight End: The class is in trouble. Max Claire, Joe Royer, and Michael Trigg all raise red flags — with Trigg drawing serious character concerns after a lackluster showing and a troubling track record
  • Quarterback: Why Cam Ward skipping the Combine was actually a high character move — and why the Raiders aren't flinching at Pick 1

Plus, Ryan breaks down intel from Jordan Schultz suggesting 2026 could be one of the most trade-heavy drafts in recent memory — and what that means for teams looking to move up or down in Round 1.

Ryan also gives an update on nfldraftgrades.com — his deep-cut draft guide covering prospects, team notes, and the latest news — now co-built with his son, who may be making his on-air debut soon to break down prospects and Packers fits.

This is getting so hard to remember what show i'm doing uh this is the nfl draft podcast of the packernet podcast network let me turn my heater off

0:29.7

it just popped on randomly um it's been a little bit of a hiatus here it wasn't necessarily

0:35.2

planned as i said saturday was a planned day off.

0:37.7

Sunday ended up being a second day off. And then the last two days, it's just been kind of difficult,

0:42.8

I guess, getting back into the swing. I just, the things are taking longer than, than what they were.

0:49.3

So day offs come with risks. But we're back. We're kind of back on a better schedule here.

0:55.6

And so, like I said, the other day I was going to, yeah, I think one day we ran out of time.

1:02.3

The next day I was ready, but I didn't realize that basically the Pro Day updates had finished.

1:07.9

And so I was planning on that.

1:09.1

And then I was like, oh, shoot, I have to do something else. I just, friggin forget it, I guess. But we're back. And I think the focus for today

1:19.0

is going to be kind of getting caught up on the news. Obviously, the pro days were news. Every

1:24.5

single one of those things was bits of news about different prospects and whatnot.

1:30.4

But in doing so, all the non-pro-day news has been somewhat accumulating. And I want to be

1:38.8

able to go back and go through all of that. Again, and I want to implore you as we get closer to this,

1:46.0

please consider subscribing to my board over at NFLDraftgrades.com. Again, it's essentially

1:53.5

a draft guide. I know the Beast draft guide just dropped. I don't know if I'm going to buy it this

2:00.3

year. I probably should. It is a phenomenal

2:05.9

resource. The entire goal that I had, though, was to replace and improve the beast draft guide.

2:14.5

It'll be interesting to see where he grades people. That's kind of a different aspect, but I never really was interested in the grades side of it as much. The details, the background, all that kind of stuff was what was a little bit more interesting. So, and again, I've essentially replaced all of that. He's going to have more prospects initially, but I will end up having more prospects than him by the time the draft rolls around as well as much, much deeper, deeper cut type prospects.

2:44.7

So, you know, as the draft is going on, it's cool to have like a little draft guide or as you're doing, uh, um, you're,

2:52.8

uh, freaking whatever it's called. The draft, uh, where you, where you, where you pick the,
