There's one defenseman in the 2026 NHL draft that seems to be at or near the top of all of the

mocks, all of the rankings, and that is Sue Greyhound's defenseman, Chase Reed,

6.2.5-195 pounds, right shot defenseman, kind of the total package.

He's got it all. I mean, his biggest attributes is skating, check, that plays well today's NHL.

But he also has just a great hockey mind, tremendous hockey sense, and he's got the hands

that go with it too.

So he could see the play, and then he's got the ability to get the puck where it needs to be and then add that

with you know uh the great skating and a aggressive offensive attitude and you've got a player that

every NHL team wants in today's NHL there's a couple interesting notes I found while uh just doing some

scouting before this podcast.

And Corey Promin compares him to Seth Jones.

And I know there are some people that might go,

ooh, Seth Jones.

Seth Jones is a really good defenseman.

He made a million and a half extra bucks here.

Wasn't here at the greatest time.

But if you get yourself with Seth Jones with the number four overall pick and you're the Hawks,

you feel pretty damn good about it.

Also says that he has the speed, hands, vision, and shot to generate chances and be a leading

scorer for an NHL team.

So this is a guy who not only can defend well, but is expected to create a lot of offense.
