I'm Robert Mays and I'm very excited to be welcomed in person by my good friend,

Nate Tyson. How are you doing, buddy? I'm doing great. We just sat down, right? We just sat down. It has been a wild evening already. I mean, there's so much to get to. You know, we had a plan. We had a bunch of things we were going to talk about. A lot of that has already gone out of the window. So right now we are sitting here watching the Eagles trade up to number 10 with the Cowboys,

a rare inter-divisional trade. I'm sure we will talk about that. I want to start, though, with a move that shocked both of us. And that is the Broncos drafting Patrick Sertan the second at number nine. Not because we don't think Patrick Sertan Jr. is worthy of the ninth

overall pick. I think he's a really, really good corner. I just wouldn't describe corner as the

first need for the Denver Broncos. I mean, you look at their depth chart. It might be the last thing

they need. They signed Ronald Darby and free agency. They went out and got Kyle Fuller. They already

have Bryce Callahan there. They're going to run a four cornerback defense, I guess, is what's happening. And when you think about the quarterbacks that were on the board, it's easily, in my opinion, the most surprising thing that happened today. And Mack Jones didn't go to the Niners, which was, it was like, okay, that one made sense finally. But then this one, yeah, this one's really curious. It's like you said, really like Sir Tan. Like I actually probably my favorite corner. Thank you. Really like Sir Tan, probably my favorite corner. Thank you, can't. But no, it's, I, I do think it's like, are they picking for the Packers? Is that what they're doing here? because it's like it's a hat on a hat kind of a thing. And don't get me wrong. It's corner is a premium position and that's kind of, yeah, I'm fine with investing in the premium positions. A line corner edge rushers or just past rushers in general and of course quarterback, but it's like you only have one quarterback. And it's kind of like, that's what I think the Broncos need to improve. Well, obviously, we saw the Teddy Bridge, the Teddy Bridgewater deal.

Yeah. But it's like you only have one quarterback. And it's kind of like that's what I think the Broncos need to improve.

Well, obviously we saw the Teddy Bridge, the Teddy Bridgewater deal. You trade a six-round pick for him. It makes sense. You know, that's something we saw a mile away. We talked about that on multiple shows last week. I think it's the type of option with the defensive-minded head coach that makes sense. You want somebody that's going to keep the train on the tracks.

It reminds me a little bit of what the Bears did last year with Foles and Trubisky.

I don't think copying the Chicago Bears quarterback plan is exactly what you want to do. But it's funny. I was talking to Lindsay Jones earlier, who's going to be joining us soon as is Dane Bruegler, as the draft goes on. So please keep an eye off for both of them. I was talking to Lindsay. And it's almost as if the Broncos have a similar quarterback plan to the one the bears have. And every five years, they stumble into one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time ass backwards. And that seems like where we're doing where we are right now. Because before the draft started today, obviously, everyone has been talking about Aaron Rogers and what might be

happening. So if it's true, which it does seem like it is that the Broncos are putting together

a deal for Aaron Rogers or an offer at least, maybe that threw a wrench into them possibly

drafting a quarterback in the top 10, which changes the entire complexion of the rest of the draft. The draft, the entire NFL. It's like that is, that's why it's just so curious for the thing. So I just keep saying is just Broncos didn't need help there. That's like, it's just like what? And right now as we see is Devante Smith is going to the Eagles, which is like, I love Devante Smith. He's probably my favorite receiver in this draft, even though there's a bunch of bunch of good ones that I've already gone and there's more to come. But it's these kind of like, that is like just so interesting to me too is not only taking Certan there, but then also just screwing over the Cowboys the pick before. Yes. Yes. And it's like everyone and everyone made, it made sense.

Okay, the Cowboys are going to get a corner, one of those top two guys, Horners,

or Zutan and it's just going to fall into the lap.

And all of a sudden it's like, oh, I'm sure that was not a lot of fun for them to all of a sudden just that goes away. So that's like just the domino effects that other teams can have can affect your team.
