So here's the deal, man. So I'm really fascinated, and this didn't immediately come to my attention until somebody asked me a question, like, hey, all of these 2016 first rounders are traded and released and

when you look at the 2017 group of first round picks you know which one of them could be released or traded, you know, who could you pluck from a team that, you know, is ready to move on from their first round pick. And when I went back and looked, I'm like, wow, you're right. There's 38% of the first round picks in 2016

were either released or traded

before their rookie deal expired.

The names of those players, Eli Apple, Jaylin Ramsey, Vernon Hargraves, Laramie

Tunsell, Corey Coleman, Darren Lee, Josh Dotson, Laquon Treadwell, Arty Burns,xton, Lynch, Josh Garnett,

and Robert Nkendichi, Kyle, four years ago,

or less than four years ago in terms of when these guys

were moved on a

a podium and told you about how that was the best player on the board.

This is going to be the new face of the defense.

This is the new franchise quarterback.

This is that lockdown quarterback that we needed.

And they didn't even make it through their rookie deal on the team somewhat of a sobering thought as we get ready to introduce a new wave of first round picks,

just knowing that a lot of these guys aren't going to work out.

Yeah, it's the unfortunate volatility of the draft, right?
