Hello and welcome to the Drabblecast. A weekly audio fiction magazine that brings strange stories by strange authors to

strange listeners such as yourself. I'm your host Norm Sherman. Well I tried

but Norm's a tough guy to impersonate. So who is this stranger hopping onto the

big mic in place of our beloved Norm? Well, as you might imagine, Norm's been, well, swamped

with all things related to the Travelcast Reborn Kickstarter campaign.

My name's Kyle.

Nice to meet you.

By day I'm a business analyst at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

That basically is a fancy way of saying that we only

know of one planet populated entirely by robots and well I'm doing my small part to help

send reinforcements so they can really solidify their hold on Mars.

And it gets better. I do that because, you know, I'm a business analyst.

I do that by using the magical powers of Microsoft Excel. I know, it's cool.

So in reality, I just crunch numbers and keep trying to explain to some really smart engineer

folks that every part of their space robots costs money, but that doesn't sound some really

as exciting, and it means that I have a lot of time to listen to podcasts.

About a year and a half ago, my job got a whole lot more boring when the travel cast got sucked into the pod faith

So I'm pretty excited about this kick-starter and glad that it's coming back

For today's story, I promise we're going to get to it, I just thought I'd take a moment to talk

about the Kickstarter campaign.
