It had been two years since David was separated from his tour group.

Woody's Wild West time travel retreat is what the ad said.

What it didn't say was don't get into fights with the locals and miss your ride home.

Fortunately the town doctor was gunned down during a poker game the same day,

so the position was open.

You'd be surprised at how far you could get as a doctor in 1840 by washing your hands and not bleeding the patient dry.
