Now, being afraid of the right thing kept our ancestors alive. It's the sense that kept

us safe from large predatory cats, prehistoric bears, and ancient aliens. But what about fear

when there is no clear and obvious danger? For instance,

a sedentary cat, a prehistoric bear, a modern alien?

I'm obsessed with all this cool AI art stuff going around as much as you are,

because there's something off about it right? It's

creepy not scary but creepy. Creepy in the way Anna Taylor Joy is. But what's

the difference between creepy and scary? I always go back to the way Stephen King delineates

between three types of scary stuff. There's gross out, something sick or disgusting,

diseased, popping an infected ingrown hair on your dad's stomach and feeling the thick

erupting contents fill the space underneath your fingernail.
