And I was asking myself why that might be the other day.

That got me asking myself why I like doing this month so much. We started doing this every year back in 2008 after I revisited a couple shorter

Lovecraft stories like Daygone and the outsider and thought this is total droublecast material just like you know from over a hundred years ago

let's run these on the show they were fun to read like I mean the words were fun to say and

a challenge and those and a lot of other stories by old

HP are genuinely great stories you know to varying degrees but is the guy

worthy of having an entire tribute month dedicated to his work for 10 years in the show based purely on his writing?

Well, of course he is and that's a statement not a fact.

I mean, honestly, meh, what's cool about Lovecraft is what other people do with what Lovecraft set up,

at least in my opinion, and is the modern day author is bringing us new takes on the mythos

that really makes the month you're on the show for me.

We've had so many great original stories from folks throughout the years, like Tim Pratt, David D. Levine, Merlelfordy, the wonderful late Jay Lake, Christine Catherine Rush, Robert Reed,

Ken Lou, Shannon Garrity, so many more. It really is worth going through the

archives or site at treblecast.org and doing a keyword search for Lovecraft month.

Revisit all that magic.
