Ebony Dunbar is a queer black woman who writes queer and black speculative fiction.

She resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her partner.

She received her BA from Macalester College in English and her MFA and creative writing from Mills College.

She's a Vona alum and associate editor for Podcastle.

Ebony loves to read SF with particular focus on black queer characters and authors.

She also enjoys reading romance, yay, and some poetry.

Corporal Robbie Elms stood at the airlock, waiting for the arrival of the guests. The rank was as new and as shiny as the toe of her boots, a gift

from her mother to congratulate her. The airlock depressurized and she stood straighter, trying

to make herself look taller. This was her first official assignment since the promotion. She wanted to do it right.

A tall woman with dark eyes and darker skin dressed in TGA dress blacks stepped through the

airlock.

Robbie hadn't expected a commissioned officer.
