Anyways, let's start off with a drabble.

This week's drabble is called Autumn's chill, and it comes to us from Suzanne Kauslowski.

Suzanne is always looking for inspiration and delights in putting a creative twist on everyday life.

She's happy to be supporting the treble cast and submitting for the first time.

Here goes.

He tries to ignore the howling and shrieking drifting on the wind.

He thinks of anything but the stories he's overheard,

of the little ones being strung up between the houses,

of the largest being sliced open,

their insides ripped out, of their faces frozen in fear as if they were lit on fire.

It's hard to believe the horrors,

yet here he is alone in the middle of the field.

One by one all his neighbors were taken away.
