I never really knew my brother. He was so young when he died. I remember feeling jealous that I would no longer be the sole recipient of my parents' love.

But when I saw him, I knew that he wouldn't be around long.

He was so sickly and pale when he was born, screaming and pink instead of the normal modeling of gray and green.

He was curiously missing scales or tendrils and only had four limbs. I still remember the look in my mother's eye when

she laid him on the altar. The old ones were very pleased that day. It's all about perspective.
