Hello and welcome to the Drabblecast episode 345. The Drabble

Cast is a weekly audio fiction magazine that brings strange stories by

strange authors to strange listeners such as yourself.

I'm your host, Norm Sherman. This week on the show Trifecta Special Number 29, the long-awaited contest winners of the

Cat with Blue Fur Writing Contest, which the Drablecast did back in September.

The contest was sponsored by Drapylcast Fan and supporter

Bart Epstein, who really just wanted a couple memorable bedtime stories to tell his

kids, sat in the same mythos universe he'd already made up and had been telling them stories from for years.

The Cats with Blue Fur is just a fictitious barnyard cat with Blue Fur,

protagonist who goes on various adventures with his Fur, Ferm, Protagonist, who goes on various adventures with his friends, adversaries, and the family

living in the house outside.

We asked and held open submissions for Flash Stories 100 to 2,000 words long in three different categories,

fantasy, science fiction, and horror, and the community voted for the winners right

there in our forums.

We also had an editor's pick,

which will reveal and go more in depth on

in a later episode.

And wow, what a huge showing of fun and diverse

cats with blue fur fanfick we got. Over 50 entries by

over 40 authors all of them great making this a very difficult thing voters had to

grapple with with a lot of close calls.
