This week on the show we look at that which is one of a kind, those things made precious because there is no

other.

And speaking of which, you may or may not have heard that the world lost a truly beloved

and one of a kind human being to cancer on Sunday.

Author J Lake. There will never be anyone even in the ballpark of a J lake again on this little blue planet of ours and I don't mean

simply because of his unique genetic sequence. I mean because the guy was like nobody

anyone's ever met before. He was out there man. He was acerbic and witty. He was

immensely warm and kind. He was a man in a big Hawaiian shirt and he was one of the most twisted

creative authors I've ever read.

The world will miss that man in ways the world will never fully understand.

And we heard the travel cast have decided to remember Jay this month with a little tour of the

ridiculously diverse fiction he's had here on the show.

You see, we've been toying for a while with the idea of starting a new podcast feed called

Drabble Classics, which features reruns of old shows throughout

the past eight years. There's a big old backlog of archived episodes at this point, and while

we do have easy to download 25 episode zip file packets of every episode available in the download section at the top of our website, a reliable weekly feed featuring a new grab bag story from the archives might be more conducive to new fans

looking to just get their tentacles wet for a bit as well as old DC vets

wanting a simple stroll down memory lane.
