It's March, and that means Women and Aliens Month here on the Drabblecast,

a full month where we celebrate women writers and science fiction

by bringing you stories written by women,

exploring what else, the subject of aliens.

This is a man's world. It certainly was a man's world,

science fiction that is, because let's be honest,

what's more science fiction looking than a scrotum?

But times have changed.

Remember reading Cinderella when you were a kid and being like, wait, so a despotic prince

has a foot fetish and forces all female citizens in the kingdom to basically undergo mandatory

DNA testing and everyone's cool with this.

It's like some weird, creepy Aldous Huxley novel.

And why the fuck did the slipper keep keep falling off verf it fits so perfectly?

Ever stop and ask yourself that? It rails against reason, like Danny Glover beating a predator in hand-to-hand combat.

And that's why, or more likely at some point I was trying to make earlier,

why we here at the Drapylcast take a stand for women writers.

Because the phrase, you go, girl, is much more than just a sassy way of asking your spouse to go pick up groceries.

It can mean all sorts of other sassy things.
