Oh, hi, thank you very much for taking my call.

Oh, hi, Dr. Dyer.

It's a pleasure to speak with you today.

I'm calling actually looking for guidance.

I have read many of your books and I've followed you for several years and I've listened to you on public

television every time that you're on.

And I know logically where I should be at in my mind with a situation but I'm finding myself torn between what to do and I thought well I've never called in anywhere

to seek help and I guess if I get through it's meant to be.

It is. So it is. My father is dying and I have not seen her spoken to him in 30 years and it was not a very loving

pleasurable childhood.

And I'm just calling to ask, how do I say that I forgive him

when he is not asked for my forgiveness.

Forgiveness, you know, I'm writing a book about it right now.

I'm just starting it right soon. I'm talking about the story of my

own life with my own father. And it was where I learned, you know, the importance of forgiveness.

But there's a wonderful line in the Course and Miracles that says in order to forgive, you must have blamed. And so much of that is really about blame and about letting go.
